iGA ART: Bringing Art to the World

iGA Istanbul Airport has taken its commitment to culture and the arts to a new level by bringing all artistic initiatives under the iGA ART umbrella. Led by renowned painter and academic Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan, the advisory board brings together experts from diverse disciplines; painting, sculpture, architecture, curation, and academia with the aim of creating space for young and emerging artists.

The first step of iGA ART is the Art Projects Competition, which will transform the viaduct area at the airport’s metro exit into a dynamic cultural landmark. Open specifically to artists under the age of 35, the competition offers a licensing fee and implementation support worth 1 million TL, one of the largest awards ever granted in Turkey’s art scene.

With iGA ART, Istanbul Airport aspires to be more than a global transfer hub: it seeks to become an international meeting point for art and culture, showcasing creativity on a global stage.
