“Zero Point Exhibition”: Transforming Waste into Art

January 12, 2022

In collaboration with artist Deniz Sağdıç, iGA Istanbul Airport hosted the “Zero Point Exhibition” in the International Departures area. The exhibition transformed everyday waste materials; such as uniforms, plastic containers, cables, and buttons into striking portrait artworks, inviting travellers to experience how discarded items can gain new meaning through art.

Open for three months, the exhibition drew significant attention from international guests and highlighted the creative potential of reimagining waste. Proceeds from the artworks were directed to iGA’s social responsibility initiatives, ensuring that the project contributed directly to the community.

By blending the Zero Waste philosophy with contemporary art, the “Zero Point Exhibition” left a lasting impression as a pioneering example of sustainability and creativity in action.
