iGA Istanbul Airport Strengthens Climate Resilience
iGA Istanbul Airport, within the scope of its Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan, held its second stakeholder workshop in cooperation with TÜBİTAK-MAM (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye - Marmara Research Center).
The workshop helped create a plan to enhance the airport's ability to handle climate change challenges.
Within the scope of the workshop:
• Risk Analysis: Analyses based on climate scenarios were carried out for critical infrastructures.
• Mitigation Development: Technically and operationally feasible actions were determined.
• Prioritization: A roadmap was created taking into account economic impact and feasibility.
• Coordination: Joint ownership was strengthened through stakeholder participation.
iGA is enhancing its ability to deal with climate change challenges, improving its operational and corporate resilience.
