China Eastern Airlines has become the third Chinese airline to join iGA Istanbul Airport's "China Friendly Airport" project. Aiming 100 airlines by the 100th anniversary of the Republic, iGA Istanbul Airport welcomed its 95th airline with the participation of China Eastern Airlines.

China Eastern Airlines has become the 95th member of iGA Istanbul Airport, Turkey's gateway to the world. The Airbus A330-200 type aircraft with a capacity for 232 passengers, which departed from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 01:30 Shanghai time, landed at iGA Istanbul Airport at 08:30 Istanbul time today.

iGA Istanbul Airport is now hosting three different Chinese airline companies by welcoming China Eastern Airlines, which is a significant step for its "China Friendly Airport" project.

In addition to Sichuan Airlines with Chengdu flights three times a week and China Southern Airlines with also three flights a week to Beijing, China Eastern Airlines will connect Istanbul and Shanghai by operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. China Eastern Airlines, the 95th airline company hosted by iGA Istanbul Airport, aims to increase the number of flights in the upcoming period.
