As part of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd, iGA Istanbul Airport announced the "Dreams Are Moving to Digital – From Canvas to Pixels" initiative, implemented in collaboration with the Turkish Autistic Support and Education Foundation (TODEV) and Upfilts technology partner. As part of the project, children with autism were able to explore the accessible services provided at the airport, while the proceeds from NFT sales were generously donated to TODEV.

In alignment with its "Airport for Everyone" philosophy, iGA Istanbul Airport prioritizes the rights of individuals with special needs, striving to become a more accessible airport for all guests. As a result, the airport has implemented numerous impactful social responsibility initiatives in this area.
The 'Dreams Are Moving to Digital - From Canvas to Pixels' initiative, launched in November in collaboration with the Turkish Autistic Support and Education Foundation (TODEV), aims to ensure that individuals with autism are better understood and integrated into today's society. As part of the project, children with autism were invited to draw their dream journeys. The artwork was subsequently uploaded to digital platforms, such as SparkAR, where, inspired by the stories created by the children while drawing, the images were enhanced using visual effects and animations using a range of 2D and 3D design applications. The Augmented Reality technology enables users to engage with the enhanced artworks through their own social media accounts. The digitization of the children's imagination facilitates a deeper understanding of their perspectives.
"The Enchanting Voyage" from Istanbul to Antalya
Another crucial aspect of the 'Dreams Transitioning to Digital – From Canvas to Pixels' initiative was to provide the children with a more comfortable and accessible travel experience. Using Istanbul Airport's iGA Cares services, the children traveled to Antalya with their families and had a wonderful time at the Land of Legends Theme Park.
The final stage of the project involved generating NFT replicas of the children's artworks. Each drawing was sold for USD 1,000, and all proceeds were donated to TODEV. Anyone wishing to make further donations to this project can support TODEV by visiting

An independent and comfortable travel experience for all
Kadri Samsunlu, CEO of iGA Istanbul Airport, opened the exhibition held in front of the Istanbul sign in the terminal area, emphasizing their commitment to providing all passengers with a seamless and comfortable travel experience. Samsunlu stated, "The sparkle in the eyes of the children participating in this project serves as a reminder of how right and important all the steps we have taken towards accessibility are, and it inspires us to accomplish even more. This project, which started with a workshop, addresses many areas that iGA Istanbul Airport is concerned with, including art and technology. Furthermore, the project emerged as a result of a very enjoyable journey and was enhanced by the growing popularity of augmented reality. This technology enables us to delve into our children's imaginative worlds and gain a deeper understanding of them, which is truly remarkable."
