Ranked among the best in the world in the aviation industry and distinguishing itself by the array of exclusive services it offers to passengers, iGA Istanbul Airport is forging new partnerships with international organizations.
Continuing its efforts for the development of the aviation industry, iGA Istanbul Airport has become the newest partner of IATA's training programme through its training structure, iGA Academy. The signing ceremony held at iGA Istanbul Airport was attended by Nihat Çukurkaya, Human Resources Assistant General Manager of iGA Istanbul Airport, Funda Çalışır, Regional Manager of IATA, and Erkan Dursun, Aviation Solutions Manager of IATA.
In accordance with the agreement signed with IATA, iGA has become the newest partner of the IATA training program through the iGA Academy, thus being able to provide certified, regionally-specific courses. In this manner, iGA can provide these courses to its employees while also marketing the training to trainees from other countries.
During the 2022 Global Implementation Support Symposium, held in Istanbul by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), iGA Istanbul Airport entered into a Training Centre Accreditation Agreement as part of the Global Education Agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, iGA Istanbul Airport became the newest partner of ACI's training program through its training structure, iGA Academy.

Nihat Çukurkaya, Chief Human Resources Officer at iGA Istanbul Airport, shared the following remarks during the signing ceremony, "iGA Academy, which was established to provide high-quality training to all stakeholders in the aviation industry, particularly to iGA employees, serves as a platform where industry professionals can acquire robust technical skills to advance their careers worldwide." In line with our mission, we are putting our name on cooperation agreements with international organizations in the aviation sector. Most recently, we signed the Regional Training Partnership agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). As a result, we have not only expanded our training network in the aviation industry, we have also had the opportunity to transfer our knowledge and experience into the international arena. He added, "As the world's largest airport and the region's premier global hub, we are committed to providing training for our employees and aviation professionals, developing the industry's growth through education."
