iGA, a leading name in global aviation, recognized for its exceptional passenger services, is organizing a series of events to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan at Istanbul Airport. iGA remains committed to assisting earthquake victims, with its dedicated iGA Ramadan truck, which is being dispatched exclusively for the month of Ramadan in Türkiye.
iGA Istanbul Airport, which serves as Türkiye's gateway to the world and is the most important transfer hub in the region, continues to stand out with the services it provides to its passengers during Ramadan.
iGA is providing its guests and the earthquake victims with the opportunity to experience the spirit of Ramadan in an atmosphere that reflects our traditional culture, both at the Istanbul Airport terminal and in the earthquake-affected regions.
In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes, the iGA Ramadan truck will continue to provide support to victims during the month of Ramadan by visiting the Hatay, Kilis, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and Adıyaman provinces, distributing gifts and assistance.
New song by Sertab Erener for Ramadan
Especially for this Ramadan, Sertab Erener has written and performed a song for iGA's Ramadan film. This beautiful piece, especially for Ramadan, can now be viewed on YouTube as well as iGA's other social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn). Meanwhile, at Istanbul Airport, a funfair featuring activities such as a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and a trampoline, has been set up for our younger passengers in front of the "Istanbul" sign.
The Ramadan Village concept in the Domestic Terminal welcomes passengers with the Keraban Ağa Table and Museum, introducing the spirit of Ramadan to both domestic and international guests passing through the airport, with a Ramadan Village also located after Passport Control in the International area.
The Ramadan Village offers both traditional and contemporary Ramadan activities, including the Mihri Hanım VR Experience, Bilge Ay's competitions for children, performances by Hacivat and Karagöz, drumming sessions with Ali Kuka, traditional poetry recitals and storytelling by Meddah Güler Hanım, as well performances by Kavuklu and Pişekâr.
Decorations and signs displaying "Ramadan Kareem" adord the digital screens, entrances, and flight gates at Istanbul Airport, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan throughout this blessed month.
The character designs for iGA's Ramadan 2023 concept were designed by Brazilian artist, Jonas Pina. Under his guidance, iGA collaborated with Brazilian company, Miagui Animations, to oversee the process, with support for this intensive production process from Animascope in Türkiye. This project saw several artists from Brazil, Mexico, and Türkiye collaborate, with the typography expertly crafted by Fatih Hardal.
