Providing Global Connectivity
iGA Istanbul Airport is positioned as a key global hub, with a flight network extending to destinations across the world. As of 2024, more than 86% of our operations are international, and the number of destinations we serve has exceeded 320. We concluded 2024 with 80,070,710 passengers and the transfer of 1.97 million tons of cargo.
Our global aviation strategy not only focuses on entering new markets but also on deepening our presence in existing ones to ensure strong and sustainable growth.
Taking into account factors such as passenger demand, flight frequency, route structures, and flight destinations, we identify potential markets through data analytics and forecasting models. By analyzing reports from global data providers alongside our in-house analyses, we assess demand, load factors, and market trends. These insights form the strategic foundation for launching new routes and expanding existing operations. Additionally, by working with the State Airports Authority and utilizing slot coordination systems, we optimize traffic flow and enhance operational capacity through advanced algorithms.
At iGA Istanbul Airport, we take the need for highly skilled aviation professionals seriously and uphold our vision of becoming a global center for training and expertise in this field. To this end, we brought together leading representatives of the global aviation industry in Istanbul. In collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), we hosted the Global Training Symposium on 26–27 February 2024, a milestone event where we discussed the transformation of aviation training and explored future workforce needs.
To provide seamless travel experiences for our passengers, we are also accelerating the integration of rail systems, further strengthening our connections with regional transportation networks every day.
