My Route and Accessible Route
Guests can enjoy an independent travel experience using the single-lane, tactile accessible route, as well as the My Route application, which assists with navigation for visually-impaired passengers to the flight gates.
The accessible route, a first in the world, is now available on the domestic departures floor.

My Route Feature
Visually-impaired guests can use the "voice over" feature on their phone, as well as the accessible route, and the "My Route" application can be accessed when opening the map in the Istanbul Airport mobile app.
Visually-impaired guests can use the My Route application to search for any location on the airport map. Voice guidance provides an easy route to their destination, as well as providing information about their surroundings.
To ensure that the application functions more accurately, Wi-Fi and location features should be enabled.

Accessible Route
The single-lane accessible route connects to the tactile paving extending from the airport entrance to the information desk.
The Accessible Route can be accessed from the entrances and information points, and extends towards the front of B, C, and D check-in islands and the Special Passenger Service Point. Due to the possible change of order in the check-in area, the accessible route ends at the start of the check-in island and starts again with the warning surface at the end of the check-in island.
The Accessible Route, which extends from the disabled priority entrance in the domestic area, is divided into three sections: elevator, escalator, and static staircase, to the floor transition point. The route extends along the G flight gates, stopping by the information point on the lower level. The single-lane pathway along the route features a warning surface at points where flight gates or restrooms are situated. Using the My Route application, guests will receive information about the services available around them.
