Sunflower Lanyard
For individuals with invisible disabilities, such as dementia, a speech impediment, or dyslexia, navigating the airport can be particularly challenging. To minimize these difficulties, the Sunflower Lanyard initiative, a widely recognized awareness and sensitivity program that originated in England, enables our staff to identify passengers with invisible disabilities. When our staff members see a guest wearing a Sunflower Lanyard, they understand that the guest may require additional support, and, potentially, more time.
Any guest who wishes to apply for a Sunflower Lanyard can do so, free of charge, by completing a request form at one of our information desks. It is not necessary to present a medical report. The Sunflower Lanyard is valid for all future travel and can be used at any location where this initiative is practiced.
