Vision

In line with national and international standards, we support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and adopt these principles as our guide. Together with all our stakeholders, we are working with determination to leave a more livable world for future generations. At Istanbul Airport, we aim to become Net Zero by 2050 and, since our establishment, we have been carrying out all our operations in accordance with the principles of sustainability. We continuously review our processes, question every detail, and take steady steps towards our goal.

Summarized by our motto “Focus on the Planet, Target for the Future”, our vision is to bring the mobility methods of the future into today by leveraging technology for the benefit of people and the environment, making journeys comfortable and safe for all our guests at the crossroads of different cultures. To bring this vision to life, we have shaped our corporate roadmap—covering our overall strategy—around three fundamental pillars:

Our Legacy:

A Better Future

Governance

A strong governance structure is one of our top priorities in our journey towards sustainability. We embrace a transparent, accountable, and inclusive management approach. Our objective is to manage corporate risks effectively, continuously monitor and improve our sustainability performance, and conduct decision-making processes in line with ethical principles.

Our Sustainability Committee and its sub-working groups identify and implement our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities. Our sustainability reporting, prepared in accordance with national and international standards, stands as one of the most visible outcomes of this process. Stakeholder engagement and feedback are integral parts of our decision-making mechanisms.

Sustainability Management and Reporting

At iGA Istanbul Airport, sustainability is managed through an integrated approach covering all operational processes. To ensure we achieve our sustainability goals, the Sustainability Management Team—comprising senior managers from different departments under the leadership of our CEO and General Manager—actively contributes to decision-making in this area.

Topic-based working groups, composed of experts in their respective fields, address sustainability issues in depth and implement process improvements that transform strategic decisions into practice.

Led by the Sustainability Committee, we place great importance on stakeholder dialogue. Each year, we conduct comprehensive internal and external stakeholder analyses to determine our material topics, which form the basis of our Sustainability Report prepared in line with international standards. Detailed information on our sustainability performance is available in the latest reports published under the Green Library / Reports section of our website.

Corporate Risk Management

Risk management activities at iGA Istanbul Airport are carried out with a modern, holistic, and proactive approach in collaboration with process owners. Control mechanisms are not limited to audit or compliance processes but are embedded into our corporate structure and embraced as a management culture spread across all functions. Risk management serves as a strategic tool that supports executive decision-making and is a responsibility shared by all employees.

The process is conducted in line with the strategic direction set by senior management, taking into account internal and external conditions as well as stakeholder needs and expectations. Accordingly, business processes are analyzed to ensure achievement of Quality Management System objectives, enhance positive impacts, and prevent or reduce negative ones by identifying risks and opportunities specific to each process.

Managing risks and opportunities plays a key role not only in ensuring operational excellence but also in strengthening corporate resilience and safeguarding long-term sustainability. Annual Audit Plans—covering all company units and updated twice a year—are developed, and operational, financial, and compliance risks are regularly assessed.

Semi-annual Audit Reports are shared with the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, ensuring oversight of corporate risk management at the highest level. The activities of all business units are evaluated regularly through audit mechanisms in terms of corruption risks, regulatory compliance, and adherence to ethical principles.

Business Continuity Management

As İGA Istanbul Airport, we consider business continuity a top priority to ensure uninterrupted and safe operations. With the policies and plans we have developed in line with the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System, we are prepared for potential crisis scenarios.

What do we do?

We implemented our Business Continuity Policy and Business Continuity Management Plan in 2023.

In 2025, we strengthened our business continuity system by obtaining the internationally recognized ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System certification, covering Airport and Terminal Operations.

To enable rapid decision-making and effective coordination during crises, we established the İGA Istanbul Airport Crisis Management Center and dedicated response teams. We have developed specific response plans for earthquakes, extreme weather events, and extraordinary situations. We continue to analyze disruption risks for each critical process, define recovery strategies and target time objectives, and validate scenarios through regular tests and drills.

Information Security and Compliance

For us, data security is not a choice but an obligation. In an era where cyber threats are rapidly increasing, we implement high-level information security measures to protect the data of our employees, business partners, and passengers.

What we do:

• We undergo internal and external audits under the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.
• We conduct penetration tests, red-team exercises, and data classification measures to safeguard sensitive data.
• We implement both technical and administrative measures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• We raise employee awareness through phishing simulations, tailored training programs, and competitions.
• We subject critical suppliers to regular information security audits.

Our goal: Ensuring the sustainability of security while continuously enhancing the resilience of our systems.

Our Ethics and Compliance Culture

At iGA Istanbul Airport, we conduct all our operations on a foundation of respect for human rights, fairness, and integrity. Our ethical values form the core of our corporate culture and governance approach.

What we do:

• With the iGA Code of Ethics, we provide clear behavioral guidelines for all employees.
• Our Compliance & Ethics Committee works actively to prevent ethical breaches and uphold our corporate values.
• We align with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, and ILO standards.
• We encourage ethical behavior at every level and act with transparency.

Our goal: To establish a trusted, respectful, and principled working environment on a permanent basis.

Stakeholder Engagement

Our sustainability governance approach extends beyond internal decision-making processes to encompass the relationships we build with external stakeholders. At iGA Istanbul Airport, we are committed to maintaining continuous, two-way communication with all stakeholders within the framework of transparency, participation, and accountability. Through effective communication channels, we aim to understand needs and expectations, co-create solutions, and foster continuous improvement.

To collect feedback from our passengers and all other users we serve, we actively utilize more than 19 different communication channels. These feedback mechanisms are further supported by digital and face-to-face surveys, neuromarketing studies, employee-driven passenger experience analyses, and international measurement tools such as ACI ASQ Airport Service Quality. In line with our target of responding to feedback within 10 days, we manage processes with great diligence; in cases requiring further investigation, we provide updated information every 10 days.

We maintain relationships with our ecosystem stakeholders (airlines, ground handling companies, security providers, retail operators, etc.) through regular meetings as well as coordination mechanisms established with sector authorities such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the State Airports Authority (DHMI). With the Stakeholder Communication Procedure introduced in 2024, we systematized this engagement further.

In the same year, we established the iGA Istanbul Airport Academy Stakeholder Platform, aiming to foster mutual support in the field of training with ecosystem and industry stakeholders. Looking ahead, our plans include launching a digital communication platform that will bring together all ecosystem stakeholders.

We place great importance on maintaining constant, two-way communication with our employees, responding swiftly to their needs. Through social events, internal communication campaigns, cross-departmental collaborations, and mentorship programs, we strive to strengthen employee engagement and well-being.

For the local community, we operate a Community Request and Grievance Mechanism, where feedback is reviewed within 5 days and resolved within 30 days. We ensure that the progress of the issue raised is shared with the individual submitting the feedback.

★ We work in close contact with government institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), focusing on co-developing solutions to social, environmental, and sectoral challenges. We also foster collaborations on issues such as climate change, accessibility, and disaster resilience.

★ We collaborate with academic institutions and research centers to develop science-based projects and strengthen our data-driven decision-making processes. Under the umbrella of iGA Academy, we conduct joint training and research initiatives with these stakeholders.

★ We engage with investors and financial institutions through regular communication, sharing our sustainability performance, risk management practices, and long-term strategies.

★ Through our social investment program, we support regional development in areas such as employment, education, and infrastructure, while working closely with local administrations to address community needs.

★ We continue to share corporate developments, success stories, and sustainability initiatives with the public through members of the press and media.

In 2024, we hosted the first Istanbul Airport Sustainability Summit, an important event where we informed our ecosystem stakeholders about our strategic objectives. During the summit, we shared our sustainability strategies, goals, and ongoing projects with participants, while stakeholders such as DHL and Turkish Airlines presented exemplary practices. According to post-event evaluations, 95.24% of participants stated that they gained a clear understanding of iGA Istanbul Airport’s sustainability plan and saw collaboration opportunities more concretely.
